Paatos - Ligament (2025)

Paatos is back! I remember back in 2012 I wanted to see them live, but then they cancelled the tour. According to their official website, the lead singer, Petronella Nettermalm's sister was hospitalized and in a critical condition. It seems she sadly passed away. Now, 13 years later, they re-united and released a new album, as if they never went away. And what a strong album! Maybe the release of the year for me. The music is hypnotic dark sounding, with influences ranging from jazz rock fusion to post/alternative/gothic rock music. With guest singer Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth on one track.

Mad Fellaz - Road to Planet Circus (2022)

Mad Fellaz is initially an experimental band formed in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, in 2010. They have  released four albums so far. This weekend I am presenting their latest album from 2022 'Road To Planet Circus'. The music is an energetic mix of all kinds of influences ranging from classic prog, jazz to funk. There is one a-capella song on the album which reminds a bit of Gentle Giant.  All in all a great varied album with highly sophisticated arrangements!
