The Emerald Dawn - The Land, the Sea, the Air (2025)

The Emerald Dawn is founded in Edinburgh, UK in 2010, but they later moved to St Ives, Cornwall in South West England. They have released seven albums so far. This weekend I am playing their sixth album "The Land, the Sea, the Air". The music I would describe as epic, cinematographic, symphonic progressive rock.

Pattern Seeking Animals - Grimalkin (2026)

Pattern Seeking Animals was formed around 2018 as a spin-off of Spock's Beard, consisting of current and former members of said band. The idea was, "producing music that's progressive and intricate while keeping things immediate and melodic", according to keyboardist John Boegehold. The other members are Ted Leonard on vocals and guitars, Dave Meros on bass and Jimmy Keegan on drums.

I am streaming their latest release "Grimalkin", which is their sixth album so far. They play very well arranged melodic prog rock, and on this album they include even more classical instruments than before, like violins and recorders.
