This weekend's featured album is the Live album of 1974 by Barclay James Harvest. It is not only their first live recording, it also marks the pinnacle of their musical achievements, and is still one of my favourite albums to date.

Magenta - Masters of Illusion (2020)

Magenta was founded in 2001 in Cardiff, Wales, UK, by keyboardist and composer Robert Reed and vocalist Christina Booth. With their music they blend the spirit of the 70's symphonic prog bands, like Genesis and Yes, with a  contemporary modern sounding production. This weekend's featured album is their latest release 'Masters Of Illusion', a concept album about horror film stars like Bela Lugosi (‘Bela’), Christopher Lee (‘A Gift From God’), Lon Chaney Jr (‘Reach For The Moon’), Peter Cushing (‘The Rose’) and Ingrid Pitt (‘Snow’).
