This weekend we are reviewing some highlights of this year's Gouveia Art Rock Festival, which took place in Gouveia, Portugal, May 1st-4th 2025.

Tonight the Eurovision Song Contest took place. On this occasion I am playing an alternative programme. We are listening to prog rock songs, each from a different country.

Paatos is back! I remember back in 2012 I wanted to see them live, but then they cancelled the tour. According to their official website, the lead singer, Petronella Nettermalm's sister was hospitalized and in a critical condition. It seems she sadly passed away. Now, 13 years later, they re-united and released a new album, as if they never went away. And what a strong album! Maybe the release of the year for me. The music is hypnotic dark sounding, with influences ranging from jazz rock fusion to post/alternative/gothic rock music. With guest singer Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth on one track.
