The Samurai of Prog is a busy band. In the last 5 years they have released at least one album per year or even more, including side projects.
I have just finished digesting their Grimm Tales part 1 from earlier this year, now they have already released the successor. And this part 2 I like even more than part 1. It is less theatrical than part 1 and contains (in my opinion) better musical ideas.
The Samurai of Prog is a Finland based band consisting of Marco Bernard (bass), Kimmo Pörsti (drums) and Steve Unruh (vocals, violins, flute, guitars), who are always supported by a mass of guest musicians who also partly compose the tracks. This time most of the guests are from Italy and bring a certain Rock Progresivo Italiano (RPI) feel to it, which is another name for a certain Italian branch of Symphonic Prog. Even some lyrics are partly sung in Italian.
